St
Devenick's is a congregation
of the Scottish Episcopal Church and a member of the Evangelical
Alliance. Situated in Bieldside - a suburb about four miles
from the centre of Aberdeen, members of our congregation are mainly
local residents but many come a considerable distance from other
areas of the city to worship at St Devenick's.
We
are a welcoming congregation: Our main service on Sunday is at 10:30
a.m. and this is followed by informal fellowship in the church
hall - with coffee and biscuits. Our fellowship extends to many
other events - see Notices
and Events Calendar
for more details. Ours is a seven-day church and there are many
opportunities for worship, study & fellowship throughout the week.
We
are delighted to announce that Rev Paul Watson was instituted as
Rector of St Devenick's by Right Rev Robert Gillies on Wednesday
4 February 2009. We would like to welcome Paul, his wife Ina and
daughters Abbie and Hannah. Paul has come to St Devenick's from
Sri Lanka where he worked with the Church Mission Society.
Prayer
of the week
Jesus Christ
Saviour and Prince of Peace, still us, O Lord, as you stilled the
storm, Calm us, O Lord, and keep us from harm. Let all the troubles
within us cease. Enfold us Lord in your deep peace. Amen.
