All Age Worship. (1st Sunday)
This service is aimed primarily at children and young people although most of our adults come and get a lot out of it too. It lasts 45 minutes and includes some interactive activity, participation by the young people, a short talk on the theme of the day, sometimes drama or a puppet show and short prayers. The music is led by our all age church band and a girls singing group also take part. There is still a crèche during this service but no junior or youth church.
Holy Communion. (2nd and 4th Sundays).
This service follows the pattern of the Scottish Episcopal Church and involves a variety of music, readings, prayers and a short sermon, usually around 15 minutes. This is followed by the communion when we remember Jesus death and resurrection and gather around the Lord’s Table. We welcome anyone to receive Communion who is genuine in their search for God in Christ. The whole service takes a little over an hour.
Morning Worship. (3rd and 5th Sundays)
This service usually lasts an hour and seeks to worship God through a varied format of songs and prayers and readings. We often learn new songs here and have a more extended worship time. The sermon is longer, usually around 20 -25 minutes, which allows us to explore the bible passage and theme in more depth and there are often handouts and notes to take away afterwards.
Monthly services:
Oasis.
Oasis is on the first Sunday of the month from 6.00-7.00pm. This is a creative and reflective space designed to refresh and equip us for the month ahead as we encounter God through word , music, silence and images.
Messy Church.
Messy Church meets on the third Sunday of the month from 3.30 to 5.00pm and is a very child friendly event when we explore different themes from the bible through various crafts , activities, stories and games with songs and a short talk at the end. And of course it all starts off with food!
