Welcome to St Devenick's Church

Local Mission

Community involvement

St Devenick’s is supportive of a variety of local mission work in the Aberdeen area.    The Cyrenians and Bethany Trust are involved in helping and supporting some of the most vulnerable people in Aberdeen including those with no accommodation and no regular income.   Members of our church volunteer at the Winter Shelter run by Bethany Trust and we send food and clothing items to the Cyrenians on a monthly basis.

Two members of our church are Street Pastors and are very involved in that important ministry in the city centre on weekend nights.     Other members are involved with The Mission to Seafarers and Friends International.

Family Fun Day Texan BarbequeMembers of our church are also involved in many ways in our local community: in local playgroups, school parent councils, the Cubs, Guides, residential homes, the MBC festival.   A Playgroup meets in  our hall in the mornings and a number of other groups, mostly for children use the hall in the afternoons.

Charity Coffee MorningWe have an annual family fun day on the last Saturday in August, and a variety of events for the community in the period leading up to Christmas as well as a charity coffee morning in the spring.
