Prayer Life
The whole life of St Devenick’s is upheld by prayer. As a Church, we are concerned for people and one way in which we try to meet that concern is through prayer.
An invitation………….If you would like someone to pray with, or want to ask someone to pray for you or a situation please talk to us. Just ring the church office – 01224 863574 and leave a message at anytime – and if you wish, someone will contact you.
As a people of the Christian faith we are concerned to build both the individual and corporate prayer life of the Church into a more powerful and dynamic force. We believe that the guidance and will of God for our lives can be better known through prayer. A range of opportunities exist both for those who need to pray through the burdens that they believe have been given to them, and for those who want to catch the spirit and joy of praying and come to know God’s leading for their own lives.
There are a number of ways for you to connect with us in prayer:
Prayer Chain – is a network of people who have committed themselves to pray for situations as they arise. If you need to get the group praying for a situation, contact Ruth Arthur on 01224 869922.
Prayer Ministry: After the 10:30 Sunday morning service, there is always an opportunity to have individual prayer time with someone.
Prayer Half Hour: Wednesday mornings (7:15am – 7:45am) and Friday mornings (9:15am – 9:45am) in the Lady Chapel. Each time a different aspect of the ongoing work of the Church is highlighted alongside time to focus on current concerns and situations.
Join one of our House Groups - Our House Groups spend time in prayer when they meet.
