Residential Homes
St Devenick's is actively involved in providing short (about 30min.) worship services as part of a rota with other local churches to the Residential Homes in our community. Elderly people can be easily forgotten in the busyness of our lives and we see it as a vital part of our church life that we give back something to those who in previous years have given so much to others
Rowan Court (4th & 5th Sundays of any month) -- team of 5
- Eastleigh (3rd Sunday of every month) -- team of 5
- Hawkhill (Tuesday after the 3rd Sunday of each month) -- team of 5
- Tornadee (led by Paul, the Rector, once every 3 months).
Each home has a team dedicated to it who take responsibility for all aspects of worship there. New members to the team are always welcome. We receive a very warm welcome at the residential homes we serve. In furthering our mission, we are in the process of identifying residents at some of the residential homes who could benefit from individual contact by someone from the congregation.
